About the position

As a Media Planner/Buyer at Designsensory, you will play a vital role in the media team by driving media strategy and executing thoughtful media placements. Reporting to the Media Director, you'll be instrumental in planning, placing and ensuring the seamless execution of paid media campaigns. Collaborating closely with the creative, interactive, research and client services teams, you'll help clients build foundational media plans and adapt their approach from campaign to campaign and throughout the agency-client relationship. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall health of your accounts, managing day-to-day campaign operations and optimizations and making data-driven recommendations to enhance results throughout each campaign's lifecycle. You'll bring forward-thinking ideas, identify new audiences and opportunities and leverage emerging platforms to deliver results that meet and exceed client objectives in Designsensory's core industries-Tourism & Hospitality, Consumer Brands, Sports & Entertainment, Ecommerce, Government and Public Service. As a member of the Media team, you'll act as a good steward of client media budgets, aiming to maximize their return on investment and overall value provided by the agency. Ultimately, your work will drive media efforts that fulfill Designsensory's business objectives and enhance client success.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Media Director and Media team to ensure client account goals stay on track, paid media accounts are optimized and campaigns are built and launched on schedule while supporting daily operations.
  • Conduct paid media buying and planning, optimize campaign strategies and provide overall management for assigned clients.
  • Planning and executing paid media plans and buys for various clients, covering both digital media (paid social, paid search, programmatic display, native and video ads and DOOH) and traditional media (television, radio, print and out-of-home).
  • Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance continuously and providing regular reports with key insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
  • Collaborating with the creative, interactive, research and client services teams to develop effective paid media campaigns and tactics.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to platforms and aligning these with the organization.
  • Recommending media plans based on industry insights.
  • Plan and execute media buys across digital and traditional channels.
  • Conduct keyword research to support campaign targeting and performance.
  • Build and structure campaigns to align with client goals and best practices.
  • Generate detailed reports on campaign performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annually).
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns regularly to enhance effectiveness.
  • Participate actively in team, client and vendor meetings to maintain alignment and foster collaboration.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in handling numbers and quantitative data.
  • Skilled in conducting secondary research to identify trends and tactics and analyzing data to inform decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively toward client, department and agency goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
