About The Position

BSSP is looking for a Media Strategist for Integrated Media Strategy who is relentlessly curious, passionate about advertising, and riveted by evolving consumer media consumption patterns. The ideal candidate will have a strong digital background, especially in search, and will be creative, analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented. This role involves working across all channels of media, leading media planning campaigns designed to achieve specific media objectives.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience at an agency or similar environment.
  • Experience in traditional and digital media planning/buying.
  • Strong experience in Search.
  • Ability to write a strong, comprehensive brief.
  • A curious and creative approach to planning.
  • Desire to mentor and coach team members.
  • Desire to learn new things, both formally and informally.
  • Ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Clear and concise written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead media planning campaigns to achieve specific media objectives.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership around strategies and budget allocation for media channels.
  • Collaborate with clients to refine media objectives and plans.
  • Purchase media and manage relations with media vendors.
  • Optimize campaigns for best performance and report results to clients.
  • Master all client and internal documentation with 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of media plans, flowcharts, budgets, and campaign performance.
  • Oversee flawless campaign set-up and execution, including Prisma IO's and tagging/trafficking.
  • Implement media plans, issue insertion orders, and create spec sheets.
  • Monitor media campaigns to ensure they are pacing and performing, making optimizations as needed.
  • Own all reporting with strong insight development that meets client needs.
  • Analyze and present campaign performance to clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for future campaigns based on data analysis.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging media platforms.
  • Create strong target audience profiles and competitive insights using research resources.
  • Showcase strategic thinking in strategy development, planning, negotiations, and tactical execution.
  • Understand tools used in media planning scenarios, like Commspoint.
  • Update and speak to internal and client status documents confidently.
  • Present campaign performance to clients, demonstrating knowledge of media strategies and tactics.
  • Participate actively in client meetings, leading discussions around areas of responsibility.
