About The Position

The Medicaid Data Analyst position at BCforward involves working closely with engineers to deploy machine learning models and analyze complex data sets from various sources. The role requires expertise in data visualization and communication of insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. The analyst will lead data science projects, generate performance metrics, and drive the adoption of analytics across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Medicaid/ Pharmacy data analysis using Databricks, Tableau, SQL and Python.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading complex data science projects from requirements through development to production, end-to-end.
  • Experience implementing Databricks/ Spark solutions in a cloud environment (AWS or Azure) in an Agile framework.
  • Experience preparing and delivering stakeholder communications to the Product Teams, detailing progress, data-related issues and ongoing data analytics needs.
  • Experience with 2 or more additional modeling techniques (i.e., Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Time Series Analysis, Optimization algorithms) with one or more deep learning libraries (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Gaffe) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers to deploy models to production both in batch and real-time while systematically tracking model performance.
  • Build complex data sets from multiple data sources and write complex data flows using Databricks, SQL, Spark, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
  • Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to share ongoing insights.
  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on machine learning and predictive modeling.
  • Assist engagements with key business stakeholders in a discussion on business opportunities.
  • Be an evangelist driving wider adoption of analytics across the enterprise.
  • Generate performance metrics such as accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, ROG, AUG, calibration, SHAP (Shapley Additive explanations).
  • Lead large data science projects and deliver innovative technical solutions to solve problems and improve business outcomes.
  • Design, develop, test, validate, and deploy Machine Learning (ML) /Statistical models.
