About the position

We are currently searching for an Accounts Receivable Representative (Medical Billing) to join our Revenue Cycle team at Rock Hill Eye Center. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing aging medical insurance account balances and resolving claim issues with insurance and/or patients. This includes preparing patient statements, posting patient payments to accounts, and corresponding with patients regarding outstanding account balances. You will also be tasked with maintaining AR queues at a reasonable age-based date as defined by management. Additionally, A/R Representatives will be involved in processing corrected claims and assisting with timely turnaround for medical documentation requests. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing great customer service are essential. You should also be able to exercise good judgment and have a working knowledge of medical terminology and the claims process. Previous experience in medical accounts receivable is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review aging medical insurance account balances and resolve claim issues with insurance and/or patients.
• Prepare patient statements.
• Post patient payments to accounts.
• Correspond with patients regarding outstanding account balances.
