About the position

The Medical Administrative Assistant Instructor is responsible for providing industry-recognized instruction and training to students at the Career Technical Training Center. The role focuses on ensuring student progress, achievement, and completion of the Job Corps program while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of student data. The instructor will also provide quality career technical training that leads to job placement and industry-recognized certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide students with industry-recognized instruction and training.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
  • Meet or exceed DOL/Company performance goals.
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized case management for students.
  • Deliver quality career technical training leading to student placement.
  • Monitor placement of all graduates and provide job leads.
  • Maintain an organized and conducive classroom environment.
  • Hold students accountable for dress code and behavioral standards.
  • Produce quality work and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Mentor and model Career Success Standards for students.
  • Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff, both orally and in writing.
  • Identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate appropriate solutions.
  • Work in partnership with staff from all departments to provide effective services to students.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one-year experience in teaching or a related field.
  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state of employment or by a professional trade organization.
  • Previous Job Corps experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and meet company insurability requirements.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and assess lift loads for assistance.
