About the position

Alliance in Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to support office operations by handling essential administrative tasks such as medical billing, payroll, and bookkeeping. This role involves working closely with the Office Administrator to assist with various office management duties, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with medical regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Medical Billing and Coding: patient billing and claims with accuracy and efficiency, submitting insurance claims and following up on denied claims or discrepancies.
  • Payroll Management: accurately process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for all clinic staff, ensuring timely submission and maintaining payroll records.
  • Bookkeeping and Financial Management (QuickBooks): manage and track financial transactions using QuickBooks, reconcile monthly bank statements, and prepare financial reports.
  • Administrative Support to the Office Administrator: assist with scheduling, correspondence, project management, and prepare reports and memos as directed.
  • General Office Management: maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems, order and manage office supplies, and ensure compliance with office policies.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in medical billing and coding.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks for financial management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with medical regulations.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with other departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
