About the position

Boston Scientific is seeking a dynamic and driven Medical Affairs Manager to support the strategic direction of medical affairs for specific therapeutic areas. This role involves integrating clinical insights into product plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The Medical Affairs Manager will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and support healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific support to internal teams, ensuring clinical data is properly communicated and leveraged for decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions to gather insights and advocate for the safe and effective use of Boston Scientific products.
  • Design and deliver medical education programs for internal teams, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and provide guidance on clinical studies, including study implementation, site selection, and data dissemination.
  • Create strategic Medical Affairs plans for assigned institutions and geography.
  • Engage identified HCPs, KOLs, and regional thought leaders to demonstrate the clinical outcome and benefits of company products, technologies, and therapies.
  • Assist in the execution of Medical Education program clinical tasks, including agenda development, faculty selection, and needs assessment development support.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree required in healthcare or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in medical affairs or a related field within the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and internal stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Preferred master's degree (MBA, MSc, MS, SM, MM, MHA, M.Bus, MASc).
  • Ability to manage simultaneous priorities, changing deadlines, and limited resources.
  • Strategic skills and experience developing account-level or product-level business/strategic plans.
