Responsibilities
- Assist providers and healthcare team members in the clinic.
- Perform patient care procedures such as injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws.
- Measure patient vital signs including weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature.
- Manage rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation and post-visit duties.
- Inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow.
- Assist with front office activities and varied scheduling tasks.
- Report test results as directed by the provider.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with the ability to read and comprehend at a 12th Grade Level or above.
- Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.
- Washington State Department of Health medical assistant certification (CM) or interim credential (IC) required.
- Knowledge of third-party payer requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Skill in using a PC.
