- Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history, accurately recording them in medical records.
- Assists providers during all aspects of exams, treatments, and procedures.
- Registers and verifies patient demographics.
- Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
- 0-1 year of related experience in the healthcare sector, ideally working with a behavioral health population.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Proficiency with computers and software including EMR systems (e.g., ECW).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work on a team and independently.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-volume environment.
