Medical Assistant - Bilingual (Spanish)

About the position

The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Community Health Clinics is seeking dedicated Bilingual Medical Assistants (Spanish) to provide essential support across various departments in Riverside County. This role involves assisting licensed medical staff with a variety of client and patient services, including administrative, clerical, and medical support. The position is available for both regular full-time and per-diem vacancies, and applicants can indicate their employment preferences in their application.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients/patients at reception and assist with necessary documents and applications.
• Interview clients/patients to gather basic health-related information.
• Register clients/patients and verify demographic information.
• Obtain medical history and chief complaints from patients.
• Assist patients in ambulation and transfer.
• Maintain medical charts and schedule appointments for staff.
• Perform routine clerical tasks such as typing, data input, and filing.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish is required.
• Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred.
