Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professional conduct and ethical practice in the clinical setting.
• Use and interpret verbal and non-verbal communication with patients and their families.
• Perform initial clinical assessments and assist physicians/practitioners with treatments or procedures.
• Provide patient instruction/education related to diagnosis, tests, and medications.
• Maintain and conduct proficiency testing of clinical equipment.
• Display safety consciousness in the clinical setting with patients, self, staff, and equipment.
• Establish and enhance good personal rapport with patients and their families.
• Comply with infection control principles and sterile procedures.
• Utilize good body mechanics while handling equipment and performing daily job duties.
• Enter concise, accurate, and legible reports of patient care delivery in the electronic medical record.
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with coworkers and other clinic personnel.
• Assume personal responsibility for maintaining licensure and current knowledge of patient care procedures.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Experience in clinical assessments and patient care procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and sterile procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate electronic medical records.
