Requirements

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history from patients and record vital signs
• Accurate documentation of services provided
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with medical procedures
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Provide patient education as directed by provider
• Instruct patients about medication and special diets
• Conduct basic first aid and CPR
• Communicate with patients and their families regarding healthcare needs
• Schedule appointments and maintain medical records
• Answer phones and provide information to patients
• Order and maintain medical supplies and equipment
• Assist Front Office Associates with scheduling patients
• Manage patient referrals to specialists
• Process prior authorization for medications or medical services
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA guidelines
• Collaborate with the healthcare team
• Perform other duties as assigned
