About the position

The Medical Assistant position at Sutter Health involves providing clinical and clerical support to healthcare providers and the patient care team. Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to healthcare providers and patient care teams.
• Perform back office tasks to support the delivery of patient care.
• Assist in implementing the medical plan of care.
• Ensure smooth patient workflow within the department.
• Interact with patients and their families to gain confidence and cooperation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent Sutter Health training.
• BLS Certification required.
• 1 year of recent relevant experience in a medical setting.
• General knowledge of medical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Competent in basic Medical Assisting skills such as taking vital signs and administering injections.
• Ability to communicate sensitive information clearly and professionally.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
