About the position

As a Medical Assistant at Dermatologists of Central States (DOCS), you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, providing exceptional clinical and procedural care to patients. Your role is crucial in ensuring that patients have a positive experience during their dermatological visits, contributing to their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to verify their information, gather medical history, and confirm their purpose of visit.
• Efficiently enter patient information into our state-of-the-art EHR (EMA).
• Guide patients through their visit, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared for examinations.
• Assist physicians during medical exams and procedures, making each patient's experience seamless.
• Schedule medical procedures with precision and care.
• Provide essential instructions on medication usage and ensure patients feel empowered in their treatment.
• Handle a variety of clinical tasks, including wound care, phlebotomy, and lab specimen collection.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring our medical supplies are always ready and available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting.
• A passion for patient care and a self-motivated spirit.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is a plus.
• Familiarity with the ModMed EMA EMR is preferred.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
• A collaborative team player ready to make a difference!
