Responsibilities

  • Room patients and take vital signs.
  • Perform health histories and administer vaccines/immunizations.
  • Communicate results between advanced providers and patients.
  • Issue prescription refills and perform point-of-care testing.
  • Act professionally and dependably as a team member.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Eligibility to sit for the exam for Medical Assistant certification within 90 days of employment or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred.
