About the position

Responsibilities
- Room patients and take vital signs.
- Perform health histories and administer vaccines/immunizations.
- Communicate results between advanced providers and patients.
- Issue prescription refills and perform point-of-care testing.
- Act professionally and dependably as a team member.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Eligibility to sit for the exam for Medical Assistant certification within 90 days of employment or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
Nice-to-haves
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Previous outpatient experience preferred.
