About the position
The Medical Assistant I or II position at Watts Healthcare Corporation involves providing routine and basic nursing care to patients in a community health center environment. Responsibilities
- Provide routine and basic nursing care to patients of all ages.
- Ensure services meet clinic standards of excellence and patient satisfaction.
- Support the provider in maintaining workflow efficiency.
- Identify and eliminate wasteful activities in patient care processes.
- Participate as an Electronic Health Record (eCW) super user.
- Cross-train in other duties to provide support during absences or heavy workloads.
- Perform related duties as assigned by health center administrator or nurse supervisor.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certificate of completion from a California accredited school.
- CPR certification for Adult, Child, and Infant from a recognized organization.
- Skills in performing venipuncture, EKGs, audiometry, and vision screening.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of five years of continuous employment in healthcare settings with a proven track record of excellent attendance and performance.
- Fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Experience in community health centers or healthcare facilities.
