Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of high-quality clinical care under supervision.
- Perform clerical and clinical duties as needed within the scope of training.
- Organize work to enhance patient satisfaction and provider efficiency.
- Collaborate with providers for daily needs and schedule coordination.
- Prepare patients for examinations and document relevant information in the EHR.
- Take vital signs and observe patients, reporting findings to the provider.
- Assist providers with patient visits and care as required.
- Administer immunizations and injections based on provider orders.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain competencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CCMA Certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily assignments.
Nice-to-haves
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
