About the position

InGenesis is seeking a Medical Assistant II to assist clinicians in providing patient care in accordance with clinic protocols and policies. This full-time position involves various responsibilities, including preparing patients for exams, performing lab duties, and maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of exam rooms.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts to identify the reason for visit and needed information prior to clinician consultation.
• Prepare patients for exams, including performing tests or procedures such as intake, vital signs, vision, and hearing screening.
• Assist clinician in the exam room as needed and prepare the exam room for the next patient.
• Perform a variety of lab duties, including instructing patients, completing logs and forms, and conducting finger-sticks, urine tests, stool tests, and injections under supervision.
• Maintain inventory in exam rooms and lab, ordering additional supplies as needed.
• Clean exam rooms daily and disinfect the lab and all sinks as per protocol.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Completion of medical assistant training program from an accredited school.
• Medical Assistant Certificate.
• Current CPR Certification (AHA).
• Three months' customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet.

• Bilingual: Spanish is highly desirable.
