About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient service and supporting clinical operations, requiring a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various patient care settings, including outpatient clinics and inpatient units.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical assistant role or relevant clinical setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding practices is essential.
• Familiarity with various patient demographics including geriatrics and pediatric patients (PICU).
• Experience in inpatient settings or operating rooms (OR) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Experience in inpatient settings or operating rooms (OR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians or nursing staff.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
