About the position
The Medical Assistant Instructor position is a part-time role focused on teaching medical assisting skills to students in a classroom setting. Instructors will be responsible for delivering lectures, demonstrations, and facilitating learning for a maximum of 24 students during evening classes. The role requires experienced Medical Assistants to transition into teaching, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Deliver lectures and demonstrations based on Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Facilitate learning for a maximum of 24 students during class sessions.
- Adapt to teaching both as a Primary Instructor and as a Secondary Instructor or Teaching Assistant as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the medical assisting field.
- Formal training from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant.
- Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience.
- Flexibility and a passion for learning and growth.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching or training others in a professional setting.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in various healthcare environments.
