About the position
The Medical Assistant Instructor position at Ross Education Holdings Inc. is a part-time role focused on teaching aspiring healthcare professionals in a classroom setting. Instructors will deliver lectures and demonstrations on clinical and administrative skills to students in both morning and evening classes. This role is ideal for experienced Medical Assistants who are passionate about education and want to make a difference in the lives of students pursuing careers in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Deliver lectures and demonstrations based on Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Conduct class sessions that last 4.5 hours, either in the morning or evening.
- Serve as a Primary Scheduled Instructor and a Secondary Instructor as needed for teaching assistance and substitutes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant.
- For individuals without formal education, a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in the medical field and a national certification is required.
- Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience is preferred.
- Flexibility and a passion for learning and growth.
