About the position
The Medical Assistant Instructor position at Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is a part-time role focused on teaching aspiring healthcare professionals in a classroom setting. Instructors will deliver lectures and demonstrations on clinical and administrative skills to a maximum of 24 students, utilizing the established curriculum. This role is essential in shaping the next generation of medical assistants and requires a passion for teaching and healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Deliver lectures and demonstrations based on Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Conduct class sessions that last 4.5 hours, either in the morning or evening.
- Serve as a Primary Scheduled Instructor and a Secondary Instructor as needed for teaching assistance and substitutes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant.
- For individuals without formal education, a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in the medical field and a national certification is required.
- Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience is preferred.
- Flexibility and a passion for learning and growth.
