About the position
Zollege is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant Instructor to join the Dallas Medical Assistant School in Irving. This role combines a passion for medicine with the ability to educate and train students in a hands-on environment. Instructors will teach an 18-week program directly in a doctor's office, providing students with practical skills necessary for entry-level medical assistant positions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for each class by reviewing the provided curriculum.
- Demonstrate medical skills and procedures, assisting students in hands-on practice.
- Evaluate individual and group performance, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Enforce classroom management and ensure adherence to safety precautions.
- Convey curriculum and skills through lectures and hands-on demonstrations.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED (Required).
- 5+ years of experience as a medical assistant or in a related field (Required).
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA credentials (Highly Preferred).
- Current CPR/BLS certification (Highly Preferred).
- Basic computer skills (Preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- BC/BE certification (Preferred).
