About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Completion of a course of study for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California or equivalent Sutter Health training.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• MA Certification by a California Medical Board recognized agency (required for incentive in 2025).
• 1 year of recent relevant experience.
• General knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and terminology.
• Competent in basic Medical Assisting skills such as taking vital signs and administering injections.
• Ability to interpret various data and instructions in multiple formats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Well-developed time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
