About the position

Responsibilities
- Assist the provider with patient visits and procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
- Room patients and manage the flow of the provider's caseload.
- Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and perform specimen collection.
- Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
- Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient complaints and protocols.
- Process referrals and medication refills.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
- Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
