About the position
The Medical Assistant position at ACCESS Family Care involves supporting the mission and core values of the organization by working collaboratively with staff to provide medical care to patients. The role emphasizes teamwork and a positive presence across all sites, assisting in patient examinations and care under the guidance of healthcare providers and the clinic manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the examination and medical care of patients under the direction of the Provider(s) and Clinic Manager.
- Work cooperatively with all staff members to promote a team effort and positive presence at all sites.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician or equivalent training and experience.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Physical and intellectual capacity to satisfactorily perform assigned duties.
- Experience in a clinical setting is recommended but not required.
- Ability to operate computer and electronic medical record systems.
- Proficiency in navigating from computer desktop to Centricity, Dentrix, Outlook email, and Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Ability to work in a team effort.
