Responsibilities
- Perform clinical and administrative duties that assist in the delivery of effective patient care within assigned area
- Greet patients, escort them to exam room and perform vitals and other related MA duties
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical practice and patient care as it relates to the clinical setting and medical specialty
- Adhere to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- One year of recent experience working in a medical facility performing Medical Assistant duties or equivalent; OR, recent graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Must maintain BLS certification; and, if required, maintain training in venipuncture
- Technical training in various medical equipment including AED, autoclave, BP cuffs, EKG machine, and more
Nice-to-haves
- Completion of a medical assistant program from an accredited institution
- Registered or nationally certified Medical Assistant
- May be cross-trained in other clinical specialties: Ob/Gyn, Neurology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Family Practice, and Internal Medicine
