About the position

The Medical Assistant (MA I/II, CMA I/II, RMA I/II) position at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic involves providing supportive patient care functions in a family medicine setting. The position includes various levels of responsibility, with higher levels requiring additional skills such as administering injectables. Travel may be required for home visits in specific departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families.
• Administer injectables and perform high-level skills as required for MA II, CMA II, and RMA II roles.
• Complete the review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire.
• Utilize medical equipment and supplies for patient care.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
• MA I: 1 year of directly related experience as a medical assistant or successful completion of an externship.
• MA II: 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CMA I: No experience required; entry-level role.
• CMA II: 3 years of directly related experience or successful completion of an externship with 6 months of experience.
• RMA I: No experience required; entry-level role.
• RMA II: 3 years of directly related experience or successful completion of an externship with 6 months of experience.
