The Medical Assistant/LPN position is a vital role within the patient-centered healthcare team, responsible for various clinical tasks that enhance patient care and clinic operations. Responsibilities

  • Pre-visit planning for patient appointments
  • Standard rooming responsibilities
  • Assisting with medical procedures
  • Providing discharge instructions to patients
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers during patient visits
  • Cross-training and floating between departments as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to two years of clinical experience preferred
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent required within 90 days of hire
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate) or equivalent experience
  • Certification through AAMA or an equivalent certification board preferred
  • Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing (for LPN candidates)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (for LPN candidates)

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) AAMA
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) AMT
  • Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
