Responsibilities
- Perform clerical and/or patient care duties in the medical practice to support medical providers and nursing in the examination and treatment of clinic patients.
- Maintain efficient patient flow, support an environment of patient safety and satisfaction, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with team to find optimal office efficiencies while maintaining patient-centered care.
- Provide back-up and coverage to multiple RMH clinics, registration desks, and perform front and back office duties.
- Schedule appointments, greet patients, and prepare charts.
- Perform registration and check-in/out functions, verify insurance benefits, and maintain various records and databases.
- Prepare correspondence and reports, assist the supervising physician in direct patient care, including exams and treatments.
- Respond to caller general information requests and inquiries, referring callers to appropriate areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- MA certification is required within 90 days upon hire.
- BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association.
