The Medical Assistant position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission involves providing essential support to healthcare providers in delivering medical care to clinic patients. In this role, the Medical Assistant will be expected to complete medical documentation accurately and promptly upon patient intake, adhering to established standards for documentation, including specific procedures such as mammograms and colonoscopies. The MA will also be responsible for administering immunizations and utilizing computer software for patient documentation, ensuring that all necessary information is communicated to patients as needed. Additionally, the Medical Assistant must follow policies and procedures regarding patient medications and testing, including refilling medications according to established protocols. Electronic communication with patients is also a part of the role, in line with the clinic's policy standards. The position is full-time, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, typically from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, although hours may vary. The Medical Assistant will work at the AdventHealth Shawnee Mission facility, which is dedicated to providing whole-person care and a wide range of medical services to the community.
