About The Position

The Medical Assistant I, Certified - OB/GYN position at UNC Health Chapel Hill is a full-time role focused on providing clinical and administrative support in an outpatient women's health clinic. Requirements

• Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC is required.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Ability to engage positively with patients and families.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES is preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a medical assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum women's health care from pre-puberty through post-menopause.
• Assist in comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal and delivery support.
• Promote health through leadership, education, and research initiatives.
• Perform routine clinical and administrative support tasks in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Document required information into the electronic medical record.
