Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and triage or respond to clinical questions
- Obtain vitals and room patients
- Perform EKG's
- Administer injections
- E-scribe medications
- Maintain patient records and update medical information as necessary
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers and specialists for patient referrals
Requirements
- Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Previous experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a primary care medical office
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical records management
- Back office clinical experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
