About the position

The Medical Assistant or LPN position at INTEGRIS Health involves providing direct patient care in a pediatric gastroenterology setting. The role focuses on delivering exceptional healthcare services, including taking vitals, documenting patient conditions, and assisting with various clinical tasks under the supervision of a physician. The position operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, emphasizing a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, including lab values and pain levels.
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients.
• Monitors and documents patient status.
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner.
• Performs venipuncture, EKG, waived testing, and other procedures as assigned.
• Reports changes in patient status to the physician and initiates new orders as directed.

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification/Registration or 6 months of Clinic MA experience.
• 6 months customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact member state.
• BLS and/or ACLS as required by department.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
