About the position

A Certified Medical Assistant for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Certified Medical Assistants are an integral part of our offices, and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients and collecting vitals
  • Performing pulmonary function tests
  • Administering injections
  • Conducting EKGs
  • Providing breathing treatments
  • Conducting lab testing
  • Performing dressing changes
  • Cleaning wounds
  • Conducting hearing and vision tests
  • Documenting patient care accurately
  • Assisting management and physicians as needed

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification from a recognized Medical Assistant program
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred
  • Ability to learn related center tasks
  • Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards
  • CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Familiarity with the EPIC EMR strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
