Medical Assistant/Patient Coordinator - Buffalo (Full Time)

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and colleagues.
• Assist providers in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of clinical treatments and provide pre-care and post-care instructions.
• Check and maintain treatment rooms and equipment before and after patient visits.
• Monitor inventory of retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies.
• Assist in recording treatments, medications, lab requisitions, and other necessary documentation.
• Create new medical records for patients and obtain necessary insurance information.
• Handle cash and payment processing accurately and responsibly.
• Answer incoming phone calls and confirm appointments promptly.
• Manage email communications and handle time-sensitive matters.

Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a medical environment, preferably dermatology.
• Experience with EMR software and patient scheduling systems is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required; advanced education is encouraged.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
