About the position

The Medical Assistant position at Core Physicians LLC is a full-time role focused on providing support in a pediatric office environment. The role involves a mix of clinical, clerical, and business responsibilities under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as obtaining vital signs and assisting providers with examinations and procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization as required.
• Ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Respond to patient phone portal messages on the same day following standard work procedures and messaging policy.
• Complete pre-visit work, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and complete prescription refills using standing protocols.
• Schedule preadmission and diagnostic testing and place follow-up calls to patients after surgery.
• Perform daily administrative duties including greeting/check in/check out, scheduling patients, answering telephones, and organizing patient charts.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to established policies and procedures, including quality assurance and infection control standards.
• Participate in daily huddles and complete required actions as a member of the care team.
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently, order labs, make referrals, and order prescriptions as recommended by the provider.
• Monitor care team metrics to evaluate improvement metrics and outcomes.

Requirements

• CCMA Certification or equivalent required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Entry-level position suitable for candidates with relevant certifications or training.
