About the position

The Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist (MA/MR) position at Englewood Health involves assisting in the delivery of primary health and patient care management under general supervision. The MA/MR is responsible for interviewing patients and/or their representatives to gather essential personal, demographic, and financial information, which is vital for patient registration and care management. This includes performing preparatory work on patients to ensure that the physician's time is used efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical terminology and practice management systems, which will aid in the smooth operation of the healthcare facility. This part-time position is located at the Cliffside Park Medical department and requires variable hours during the day. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of primary health and patient care management.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification required for injection administration and medication documentation/handling.
  • Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems preferred.
