About the position
The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Community Health Clinics is currently seeking dedicated Medical Assistants to provide essential support throughout the County of Riverside for various departments. This job posting will serve to fill regular full-time and per-diem vacancies. Under direct supervision, Medical Assistants will assist licensed professional medical staff within the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) by providing a variety of client/patient services. These services include basic administrative, clerical, and medical support for clients/patients and the public. The role encompasses a range of responsibilities that are crucial for the smooth operation of healthcare services in the community. Medical Assistants will be expected to perform other related duties as required, ensuring that they contribute effectively to the healthcare team and the overall mission of the RUHS.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed professional medical staff by providing client/patient services.
- Perform basic administrative and clerical duties as required.
- Provide medical support services for clients/patients and the public.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with patient intake and prepare patients for examinations.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid certification in Basic Life Support/Cardio-Respiratory Resuscitation (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association is required.
- Medical Assistant Certification must be uploaded as an attachment during application submission.
