Responsibilities

• Assisting healthcare providers in patient care activities.
• Maintaining electronic health records (EHR) and coordinating patient activities.
• Collecting specimens for laboratory testing and administering medications and immunizations.
• Conducting patient intake and exit interviews.
• Using data and patient registries to outreach to patients in need of preventive care and follow-up for chronic conditions.
• Assisting with patient referrals, tracking, and follow-up.
• Triage phone calls and follow up on patient requests as appropriate.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Completion of Medical Assistant certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred).
• Experience in taking vital signs (1 year required).
• BLS Certification (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Medical Assistant certification (preferred).
• Phlebotomy experience (preferred).
