About The Position

The Medical Assistant Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the treatment of patients at the Mental Health Clinic. This position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide both medical and psychological support, ensuring that patients receive appropriate care and monitoring their vital signs and health metrics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA or CMA certification required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Must maintain a valid Texas Driver's license and auto liability insurance.
• Must pass criminal history and background checks as well as a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate basic medical and non-medical aspects of patient treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients.
• Collect and maintain records of patients' vitals, height, weight, and BMI.
• Provide data to physicians for the treatment of patients on anti-psychotic medications.
