About the position
The Medical Assistant II (MA II) at Providence Swedish works under the supervision of a licensed practitioner to provide patient care in a sports medicine setting. This role encompasses all responsibilities of a Medical Assistant I and requires full competency in clinical functions specific to the assigned clinic. The MA II is expected to adhere to established policies and procedures while contributing to a culture of patient-focused care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing patient care under the direction of a licensed practitioner.
- Perform all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role competently.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school for medical assistants or equivalent experience/training.
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification within 30 days of hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- 6 months of healthcare experience.
- 6 months of medical assistant experience.
