The Medical Assistant is expected to convey a positive image of the office and provide necessary information to patients, ensuring they are aware of all the benefits offered by the practice. Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Prepare patients and examination rooms for physician exams.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform front-desk tasks including appointment scheduling.
  • Answer and return patient calls in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate daily office activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Convey a positive image of the office to patients and visitors.
  • Provide information to patients about office benefits and services.

Requirements

  • Must be able to type efficiently.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred and willingness to learn is required.
  • Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Must protect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Candidates can be CMA, CNA, Allied Health Professionals, Medical or Dental students, or other qualified individuals with appropriate medical knowledge.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required upon hire and must be maintained current.
