About the position

The Providence Medical Group (PMG) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our compassionate team of healthcare professionals. This full-time position operates on a day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing an excellent opportunity to work closely with physicians and nurses in a supportive healthcare environment. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. Your responsibilities will encompass both administrative and clinical tasks, which are essential for the smooth operation of our medical practice. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining patient records, preparing patients and examination rooms, and assisting physicians during exams. You will also perform front-desk tasks, which include scheduling appointments, answering patient calls, and coordinating daily office activities. Your ability to convey a positive image of the office and provide necessary information to patients will be vital in ensuring they are aware of all the benefits our office offers. Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient records accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare patients and examination rooms for physician visits.

Requirements

  • Must be able to type proficiently.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred and willingness to learn is required.
  • Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Must protect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Candidates can be CMA, CNA, Allied Health Professionals, Medical or Dental students, or other qualified individuals with appropriate medical knowledge.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required upon hire and must be maintained current.
