About the position

The Medical Assistant position at Vancouver Clinic focuses on supporting the Mental Health team at Mount Vista. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient flow within the clinic.
  • Collect and manage patient information.
  • Assist with the overall delivery of patient care.
  • Receive hands-on training to work at the top of scope.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified credential or a combination of experience and training resulting in a nationally recognized certification.
  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
  • EMT training and certification or current Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certification.
  • Must obtain Washington State Medical Assistant credential within the required timeframe and maintain active status throughout employment.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program for MA-C, with certification from a national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.).
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification required.
  • Experience with electronic health records, preferably Epic.
