About the position

The Medical Assistant at Franklin Township Partnership Health Center is responsible for both clinical and administrative tasks within the medical practice. This full-time position requires a blend of patient interaction, technical skills, and compliance with healthcare regulations to ensure efficient operation and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients regarding procedures to be performed
• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Take initial history and demographic information
• Record vital signs
• Perform venipunctures for lab draws
• Conduct EKGs
• Perform ear irrigations
• Inform patients of lab results as needed
• Assist the provider as needed
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain lab equipment and supplies, including preventative maintenance and inspection
• Maintain proper documentation of pertinent patient information
• Maintain medical and non-medical inventories
• Perform front desk responsibilities
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, state and federal regulations regarding lab procedures
• Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of medical assistant experience
• High school diploma plus medical certification
• Understanding and adherence to HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures
