Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vital signs.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories from patients.
• Document patient care in electronic medical records.
• Administer vaccines, injections, and medications.
• Perform phlebotomy and point of care testing.
• Conduct medication reconciliation under the supervision of RN/Provider.
• Gather requirements from internal and external customers.
• Provide information via phone, electronic messaging, and in person.
• Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations and referrals.
• Process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting.
• 1 year of Medical Assisting experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA; RMA; NCMA; CCMA) required within 6 months of hire.
