About the position
The Medical Assistant position at Care Alliance in Cleveland is a full-time role focused on providing high-quality medical and dental care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Greet and check in patients arriving at the clinic and prepare them to be seen by the provider.
- Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by the provider.
- Run P.O.C. tests as requested by the provider and collect and prepare lab specimens.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED and completion of a certified medical assistant program, Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Data coding experience
