About the position

The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant at Trusted Medical PLLC will play a crucial role in providing care to Veterans by managing the medical office operations and ensuring smooth patient flow during in-person visits. This position requires a high level of autonomy, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to support healthcare providers effectively. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for various tasks, including patient check-ins, medical documentation retrieval, and assisting with examinations, while maintaining a clean and organized office environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the medical office and manage patient flow related to in-person visits.
• Assist providers with checking veterans/patients into the clinic and scheduling appointments.
• Retrieve and submit all required medical documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in organized meetings and contribute to operational developments and process improvements.
• Maintain overall office cleanliness and disinfect exam rooms as needed.
• Independently complete EKGs, PFTs, ABIs, and perform phlebotomy.
• Establish and foster significant relationships with patients and providers.

Requirements

• Active MA and phlebotomy Certification.
• More than 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
• Experience interacting with the Veteran population is preferred.
• Proficient in managing provider workflow and scheduling.
• Experienced in one or more major Electronic Health Records.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
• Knowledge of EKG, ABI, Spirometry, and comfort with phlebotomy.
