About the position

Bryn Mawr Dermatology is seeking an experienced full-time Medical Assistant to join their team. This role involves direct interaction with patients, physicians, and PA-Cs, providing hands-on experience in a dermatology setting. The position includes on-the-job training and an accelerated Dermatology Tech course to prepare the candidate for the responsibilities of the job.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and updating patient information into EMR system
• Accurately obtaining chief complaint
• Transcribing for providers during exams
• Assisting with biopsies and select surgical procedures
• Administering local anesthesia
• Educating patients on treatment plans
• Managing patient prescriptions/pathology/labs
• Assisting with cosmetic procedures
• Stocking rooms with necessary supplies
• Sanitizing all work areas throughout the day and after each patient
• Following through with individual side tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Medical Assistant
• Exceptional people skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Empathetic with patient needs and concerns

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in dermatology
• Knowledge of EMR systems
